Fevzi Karakoç (b. 1947, Çankırı) is a Turkish painter and academic. He completed primary school in Çankırı. After his primary education, he passed an entrance exam and earned the right to attend the six-year Ankara Hasanoğlan Primary Teachers’ School as a boarding student. Benefiting from a talent identification program and due to his high academic average, his artistic ability was discovered by his teachers as he moved from the third to the fourth grade of the teachers' school. In 1965, he was admitted to the art seminar at Istanbul Ortaköy Primary Teachers’ School through a talent examination. He studied under art educators Selahattin Hüsnü Taran and Hamdi Dicle. Graduating in 1968 as a teacher from this school, Karakoç did not pursue a teaching career. Instead, between 1968 and 1972, he completed his studies in the Graphic Design Department at the Istanbul State School of Applied Fine Arts (now Marmara University Faculty of Fine Arts).
